New Helderberg Alumni Chapters

New Helderberg College Alumni Chapters Formed: Washington (USA), Chattanooga (USA) and Gauteng (RSA)

Following the formation of the KZN Alumni Chapter, we are happy to announce the official formation of three more chapters: Washington Alumni Chapter, Chattanooga Alumni Chapter and Gauteng Alumni Chapter.
In Washington and Chattanooga, the experiences of Helderberg Alumni were shared and cherished. We are proud of the number of graduates we have that are making waves in their respective departments and career fields in Washington and Tennessee.

The two newly formed international Chapters elected their officers.
For the Washington Chapter, Chantal Klingbeil will serve as Chapter President and Dr Michael Sokupa will serve as Chapter Secretary.
For the Chattanooga Chapter, Dr Martin Klingbeil will serve as Chapter President.

In Gauteng, South Africa, the alumni event was an evening of reminiscing, connecting, and sharing, as roughly 70 Gauteng-based alumni gathered in Bassonia, JHB.
The Alumni Association, led by Ms Juba Khuzwayo, presented the vision for the Alumni Chapters and for the graduates as a whole.
“We want to create a network that supports each other, grooms the fresh graduates, raises funds for our Alma Mater, and most importantly, a network that gives back to Helderberg College in various ways,” said Juba Khuzwayo, President of the Helderberg College Alumni Association.
In the newly formed Gauteng Alumni Chapter, the elected officers are Ps Howard Rossouw (Chapter President), Mrs Remell Nicholson (Chapter Treasurer), and Ms Lauren Moonsamy (Chapter Secretary).

At the end of the evening, the new officers were excited to get the ball rolling in Gauteng and start building the Gauteng Chapter.
In 2017 we have launched 4 Alumni Chapters, namely KZN, Gauteng, Washington, and Chattanooga. We are excited to see what the various Chapters will achieve in the near future.
In 2018, more national Chapters will be formed. Be sure to subscribe to the Helderberg College newsletter to be kept in the loop.
